NORTH SIDE SURF
Banderas Bay is packed with amazing surf spots, most of
which cannot be accessed via a public beach. This is where
our local surfing know-how will help make sure that you have
an excellent day riding the waves, given your skill level
and preference for type of surfing, matched with the
existing water conditions that day. Below is a list of a
couple of the best surf spots on the North coast of the bay:
Burros: A-frame reef break that
is great for all skill levels and is best during the winter
months. Picks up swells from the
North.
La Bahia: A-frame reef break,
with longer rights and shorter lefts. Picks up bigger South
swells and is best during winter.
Los Veneros: Beach break
with a great swell from both North and South all year round,
but requires a strong swell.
San Pancho: River-mouth break
that is best during the winter but can get a strong swell
from the South. Great for both
surfing and bodyboarding.
Sayulita: Beach break that is
best from November to April, but can get a bit crowded.
